About Us
Hi,we’re Maritza and Bjørn! Ringstad Sjøhus is more than a holiday rental. It is a place that changed how we see the world.
We first arrived in Vesterålen the way most travellers do: wide-eyed, slightly unprepared for the scale of it all, and instantly, completely captivated. The mountains drop sheer into glittering fjords. The light, whether the pale gold of the Midnight Sun or the green-violet fire of the Aurora Borealis, is unlike anything you will find anywhere else on earth. The silence is the kind you carry home with you.
We bought Ringstad Sjøhus because we wanted to share that feeling. We spent time making it a home, somewhere warm, comfortable, and full of character, that would give guests the freedom to experience the Arctic exactly as it should be experienced: at your own pace, on your own terms.
We work closely with a trusted local property manager so that everything is taken care of before you arrive.
